Please join the Malaysian Club of Chicago in our annual Merdeka/Hari Raya picnic on Aug 29 (Sat) from 12.30-5pm for fun, food and fresh durian, Please go to http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2094141 to purchase your tickets online. Online ticket prices are $12+ for age 12 or older and $1+ for age 2-11. Ticket sale will close on Aug 24 at 11:59pm. Walk-in prices shall be $20 for 12 or older and $1 for kids between 2 ~11 cash only. We look forward to seeing you. 1.00 p.m. Negaraku and Kompang Performance
1.20 p.m. Lunch and Networking
2.15 p.m. Durian Time (quiz, contest, makan)
3.00- 5 p.m. Games, lucky draw, activities and competitions
Location: our picnic is at Busse Woods again but in a different grove. Make sure you look for Grove 29. It is located at the junction of I-90 and I-290 in Schaumburg. Exit I-290 and go straight until you reach Golf Road. At the traffic light turn right going east. Then take the FIRST RIGHT entrance into Busse Woods. The MCC Picnic is at Grove Shelter 29. Please bring lawn chairs and blankets. Bring soccer ball or other suitable sports equipment as needed. It will be quite terrible to have kids mistake durian as a soccer ball....

Don't forget that there is a Malaysia Flag Raising Ceremony on Aug 31 (Mon) at 11.30 am at Daley Plaza, downtown Chicago. Join us at this special event to observe the proud moment where our Malaysian Flag is raised next to the American Flag in the city of Chicago. Buffet lunch (optional) to follow.
